DEATH OF CANBERRA NAVIGATOR

After an uneventful Second World War, Flying Officer Jim Pemberton overcame colour blindness to become Navigator on an RAF Canberra Squadron. He was killed in November 1952 when his aircraft crashed when coming in to land. He is buried in Lancaster Cemetery:
