SOLDIER'S SUICIDE
Cpl James Ireland AVC drowned himself in a shallow open drain on Ashton Marshes, Preston. His wife was ill and he was allowed to return home. Sent telegram from Euston to say his was on his way but never arrived. St James', Brindle:
