American Funeral

Three snapshots of an unknown burial in America. I think this is could 1930s, 40s or 50s. The mechanism supporting the coffin looks substantial. Thoughts on date or how the coffin lowering mechanism works would be appreciated.

The dress stile should tell you. Looks like the 50's to me

Here is a video on how everything goes togeter and works. I've never been to a funeral where they actually lowered the casket infront of the family.

I have a few series of photographs like these that I've narrowed down to the 50's (based on the family's style of clothes and the photo paper logos)

Thank you all very much. That's very useful to know.
