AB Chatton is remembered on Plymouth Naval Memorial. MTB 316 attacks Italian cruiser Scipion Reggio in Straits of Messina. MTB gets to within 50 yds but explodes in a sheet of flame. Lareg fragments of MTB land on cruiser’s deck. All 11 crew died. [St Stephen, Kearsley Moor]
