KILLED BY DRUNKEN LORRY DRIVER

Sophie Rotenberg – killed by a drunken lorry driver. Manslaughter charge dropped. He was fined 20 shillings for being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle. Court stated there was no evidence of negligent driving nor was the driver in any way responsible for the accident. Urmston Jewish Cemetery:
