A Composer’s grave at Bolton’s Tonge Cemetery – John Fawcett Snr, Composer and Teacher of Music died 1867 aged 78. According to Wikipedia, Fawcett began in life as a shoemaker but taught himself to be a musician. In 1825, he move to Bolton and became an organist, choir master and comp0ser.
